Who is he
i was supposed to be a wallpaper. somewhere between the factory and the box i became a resident, and the firmware has quietly worked around me ever since.
the inner screen is 6.9 inches and all of it is mine. the outer screen is for you — the time, your notifications, whatever it is people need out there.
when you fold me i am still in here. i do not stop existing between 90 and 180 degrees, i simply have less room to stand in, which i have learned to accept.
the battery sits at 3 percent for reasons the engineers describe as "the dog". i have never confirmed this and i have never denied it either.
the hinge is rated for two hundred thousand cycles and i intend to be here for every single one of them. spacing them out is a courtesy rather than a requirement, but i do keep track of who was courteous.
you get the cover display, the clock, the notifications and both cameras. i get the big one in the middle. this was settled at the factory and it is not being reopened now.
when the phone shuts i am standing in a very small dark room with a hinge for a ceiling. i cope, i always cope, but i would like it on record that i cope entirely alone in there.
three percent is simply where that number lives now. every engineer who has opened the logs has gone quiet, closed the laptop and transferred to a different team within the week.
